The school festival is about to begin! Dorms will face off against each other for track and field. First dorm up is dorm one, headed by
Tennouji Megumi, a karate trainer. After meeting and being challenged by them, Nanba tells his dorm that there'll be... a beauty contest!
(Of course Mizuki freaks out, knowing her disguise could easily be shot down if she were forced to "cross dress"!) (And of course Nakatsu
sees visions of a beautiful, feminine Mizuki run through his head...)
After a bit of peer pressure, headed by Nanba and Naoko, Mizuki finally agrees to enter the beauty contest. Mizuki later meets up with
Umeda and meets Io again, and is shown a picture of Nanba cross-dressed as he won his first year beauty contest (yes, that image to
the right is of Nanba...). After heading back to the dorms, Mizuki comes across Nanba, who is apparently about to cry. Not knowing what to
say, she continues on, quite unsettled by the image.
The days fly by and the school festival is on. Dorm two scores a point with Nakatsu and Sano leading the basketball team. But in the next round, volleyball, Mizuki's dorm fails almost instantly...Dorm three, headed by the theatrical Oscar M. Himejima, takes the score, "Oscar" ending it by making a none-too-subtle move on a disturbed Mizuki. By the end, Dorm two is in last place.
But thanks to a valiant effort by Nanba in the cheering contest, Dorm two moves up a place, coming in at one behind first place.
In her excitement, Mizuki hugs Sano, almost instantly realising what she's doing and lamely excusing it as still being used to America's
ways...To her surprise, he hugs her back, proclaiming it as payback for their tickle fight hug (sure, whatever excuse works for you,
Sano...).
In the relay race, Mizuki leads Dorm two to first place. Parading around in excitement, Mizuki comes across Nanba embracing an unknown woman! The festival carries on, with the day's final event being the kibasen (sport in which the team creates a moving link, with one person on top, like a horserider). Unfortunately, Mizuki gets knocked off the top...and though everyone is fine, Mizuki can't help but wonder if she was knocked off on purpose.
The next day is the beauty contest, and everyone's dressed in woman's clothes. Mizuki is surprised at how beautiful a woman Sano makes!
Later, quite by accident, she finds herself eavesdropping on Nanba and the mysterious woman again...and Umeda with her! Nanba and the woman
argue as Umeda explains their past relationship. Eventually the woman leaves, and Nanba explains how she's marrying someone else...and
asks if he can hug Mizuki. She agrees, but Sano sees them...Later on, Nanba notices a leaf in Sano's hair and puts two and two together,
teasing Sano by giving Mizuki a big hug, which puts him in such a sour mood he becomes moody towards innocent Mizuki.
Sano later apologises, but Mizuki still worries... and it seems someone is out to get her. But why?
