Mizuki realises she's out of money, and decides to find a job. The topic gets everyone discussing what they'd like to do after school.
Everyone except Mizuki...she's never thought of what she'd like to do and gets a little depressed about it. That night, Mizuki spills the
beans to Sano, who cheers her up with the right words and a peach drink. Tired and delirious (or not?), Mizuki calls Sano her "father"
and gives him a kiss, making Sano think of what Gil told him in America...
The next day, Mizuki talks of her woes with Umeda. Akiha shows up, offering her a job with Ebi, and Mizuki agrees, ending up being a running kid for Ebi and Akiha's models. But when grabbing some tea, Mizuki accidently spills it on Alex, a top model notorious for his bad attitude. Thankfully he brushes it off...Later Mizuki tries to apologise, but Alex brushes her off. Later Mizuki admits to Sano where she's working and who's her boss. Sano surprises her with not caring, despite not liking Akiha in the least...An uncomfortable scene where Sano absently asks Mizuki what "he" thinks of him leads him to be called a friend, which is what neither party wants to believe...
At work, some clothes of Alex's go missing, and Ebi is ranted at by supermodel. Mizuki steps in but is stopped by Akiha, who tells her
to let things lie. Later, Mizuki finds a locket with an old picture inside, which Alex viciously rips from her hand without thanks for
finding it. When Mizuki goes to talk to Umeda, she finds him asleep with Akiha watching him...She asks Akiha why he stopped her from
helping Ebi, and he explains that in not trusting Ebi, Ebi may be hurt.
The next day at work, Mizuki says hello to Alex and gets an unexpected apology. But Alex is still hot tempered, and eventually storms off, telling Mizuki to buzz off. That night Sano gives Mizuki another peach juice present, and when she threatens a tickle attack he tells her how he made a personal best in high jumping, thanks to her words. The next day Mizuki is walking Yuujirou when she sees Alex. Alex gives in to her meddling and explains about how the person he's searching for, the person in the locket, is the only family he has...a boy named Masaya, whom he grew up with in an orphanage. When Alex leaves, things seem to be alright between he and Mizuki.
Himejima introduces the next chapter in his typically self-absorbed way. It appears everyone's been robbed of their food and snacks...
except Kadoma, whose boxers were stolen. They find crumbs leading to Umeda's office...Umeda meets everyone outside of the office, informing
them he was away on a business trip. When they open the door, Himejima's two younger twin brothers, Shion and Anri, zip out! The admit
to taking the food, but the boxer thief remains undetected.
The twins travel the school, trying to come up with something for their essay, the reason they came to the school. They decide to go with Kayashima after he shows him some "cool" yoga techniques...although catching Mizuki and Sano sleeping upright, heads-on-shoulders, is also inspiring to them. As for the panty thief, he confesses to Umeda and all is well.
The next chapter travels to the past, when Kayashima first comes to the school and is roomates with Nakatsu. Kayashima explains to Nakatsu why he prefers to be alone: because when you come to know someone, their annoying traits stand out. Nakatsu tells him he's pretty annoying himself! Later, students bother him about his ESP abilities, and Nakatsu defends him, although Kayashima brushes him off. After an incident with another student, where Kayashima warns him about an ear problem and the fact his sister's death was not his fault, the others give up on bothering him. Nakatsu wins him over and the two become friends.
