At the dance, everyone's dressed up. Rio apologises for being Sano's partner, and Mizuki's shocked to find out she's figured out Mizuki's female. Nakatsu asks Mizuki for a dance, and can't help but stare at her "fake" chest...Suddenly, grape juice spills over Mizuki's dress. She rushes to the bathroom to try to take it off with the help of the other girls, but it's stained. However, the girls have an idea...they cut off the bottom of Mizuki's dress, making the skirt shorter.
Rio and Sano spot Mizuki by herself on the side, and Rio tells Sano to go to her. Sano asks Mizuki to dance, and she agrees. Everyone
notices how good they look together. As the awards are being announced, Mizuki gives Sano her birthday present for him. Then she notices
the snow falling and races outside, and she and Sano have one final moment at the ball together.
The group, curtesy of Nanba's grandmother, go to the ice rink. It turns out Mizuki and Sano were named best couple...Nanba's grandparents show up, showing everyone that, even at 50+, they're still deeply in love. When Mizuki gets back to the dorm, she finds a letter from her brother telling her to go home. Hopping on the first plane, Mizuki comes back to America and meets her brother, who pesters her about she and Sano. Then, when she gets home (her father has a veterinarian business in the home) she stops an escaping puppy, and her father, not recognising her, thanks "the boy". Mizuki's mom appears, and with all of them together Mizuki feels really glad to be home.
Julia comes over for dinner, which becomes very tense when Mizuki's position in the all boys school is almost revealed when she
talks about the Christmas dance. Later she and Julia talk about Sano and life, and when Julia leaves, Gil shows up! Apparently he's
undergoing surgery at Shizu's clinic, and will be staying with Mizuki's family. Despite how happy she is, Mizuki keeps thinking
of Sano...After the "Japanese" New Year's party, Gil says goodnight to Mizuki with a kiss, and Mizuki finds her heart beating fast...
The next day, when she's out with Gil, she keeps seeing "Sano" everywhere. Then she distinctly hears a Kansai dialect, and discovers that Sano and Nakatsu have actually come to America! She, Sano, Nakatsu and Gil go out for lunch, and although there's a language barrier they manage. Apparently Sano and Nakatsu were invited by a UCB student to try out their "very different" training. But then Mizuki's dad shows up! Knowing her gender could easily be exposed, Mizuki frets about her friends' reactions...
To keep the language barrier intact and prevent her gender from being exposed, Mizuki tells her father her friends are trying to learn English, and that he should only use English around them. Gil pulls her aside and gets the truth out of her and promises he'll not say anything. At dinner, jealousy races between Gil and Sano...That night, Gil confronts Sano about his feelings, and Sano tells him Mizuki is the most important part of his life...Gil brushes off answering with a "good night". However, the next day, when Sano and Nakatsu are leaving to return to Japan, Gil tells Sano Mizuki's first kiss was with him!
