Hisaya Nakajo is the mangaka (creator of manga [comics]) of Hanakimi, which is her best known work so far. Hisaya specialises in shoujo manga, and her various series reflects this. She's also done doujinshi (fan manga) under the name Fumizuki Ryo (although those well aquainted with her unique illustration style can easily recognise her work, despite her using a pen name). Hisaya has also released a few art books (including the Hanakimi Character Book, from which some pictures can be viewed in the gallery). Hanakimi has also been made into a few drama CDs, and is soon to become a Taiwanese drama (with live actors).
