Where can you find or read Hanakimi? Take a look at the various places where you can find the series.
For North Americans, the Hanakimi series has been picked up and translated into English by VIZ Media.
The translated volumes are quite a bit more expensive than their Japanese counterparts: buying the entire series new would cost about $230. An alternative option would be to read them at your local bookstore, if allowed. A good example of a bookstore that doesn't seem to mind in-store reading is Canada's Chapters.
The Japanese version of the Hanakimi series can be found in the Hana to Yume anthology, as well as on its own.
Hana to Yume is a popular shoujo manga anthology that runs bi-weekly and has featured such hits as Fruits Basket, Yami no Matsuei and Angel Sanctuary, as well as Hanakimi. It's only available in Japan, unless imported.
For most North Americans, getting the Japanese version of the manga is a more than a little difficult and expensive. While in Japan, I bought tankouban (volumes) for 200 yen (roughly $2) each from a used store called Book Off. The retail chain is located primarily in Japan, although I did find a store in North America:
Before Hanakimi was published in North America by VIZ Media, a number of scanlators took on the huge project of translating every volume of Hanakimi as it was released. Scanlations have discontinued (to my knowledge). Now you can support Hisaya Nakajo and Hanakimi by buying the manga from the sources above.
