What's Gunstar Heroes?Gunstar Heroes is a side-scrolling action shooter released on the Sega Genesis system in 1993 by Treasure. It features gorgeous graphics, addicting gameplay and high replayability. The story of Gunstar Heroes follows two twin brothers who are part of the Gunstar family, protectors of the Gunstar 9 world.
Years earlier, their grandfather, White Gunstar, defeated a vicious intergalactic
robot named Golden Silver and retrieved from it four powerful Mystical Gems. The Gunstar family hid the secret of the gems for years,
until Colonel Red of the Empire discovers their existence and brainwashes the eldest Gunstar brother, Green, into retrieving
the gems for the Empire. The Gunstar twins, Red and Blue, set out to retrieve the gems and prevent the revival of the dreaded
Golden Silver at the hands of the Empire, and win their brother Green back.
